Kid A
Everything In Its Right Place
Although the album version of this song is played using a keyboard I've attempted to transcribe it for guitar so that I can play along. Keep in mind that this is only an interpretation (which should be elaborated upon in parts) and is intended to be fun to play along with!
Tuning is standard - >From high to low EBGDAE on a 6-string guitar.
*** Note that variations on these ideas change throughout the song.
These skeletons can be used as guides, with your ears/ideas adding the rest.

during the chorus and the bridge try to play the last 3 strings along with the bass of the note so to get the effect of the organ that is playing in the song.
This is played on some sort of synthesizer on the album but I've arranged it for guitar here.
Here is the progression played throughout the verses

National Anthem
First off I've broken the song into segments so as to get some organized
format for this very un-organized song. I've only tabbed up until the end of
the 2nd verse, then the brass starts and it's pretty pointless tabbing all
that. What I've tabbed out is Jonnys martenot for the keyboard and guitar.
I'm using the same piano instructions as normal. I will put the note and
then the number 1,2 or 3 in conjuction so as to tell you where on the
keyboard to hit the note.
i.e A2 means hit the A note in section 2.
section 1 section 2 section3
C#DEbEFF#GAbABbC C#DEbEFF#GAbABbC C#DEbEFF#GAbABbC
*middle C
For the guitar note I will put it in brackets next to the keyboard note. I
will put the string and fret number.
So A2 (G14) means the piano is the A key in section 2 and the note for the
guitar would be played on the G string on the 14th fret.
Here is the main bass riff played over and over throughout the song.

I've organized the song by numbering it, each number represents every time
the main riff is played. Any note under that number shows where and when
Jonny plays the martenot.

In Limbo
for guitar - 4/4, 2/4 time signature
transcribed from the LIVE version in Arles, France - 13/06/00
I have tabbed out each riff and named them INTRO RIFF, VERSE RIFF and CHORUS
RIFF, to add a bit of structure (not that it's distinguishable). At
the end I have put a structure layout.
There is only the one guitar throughout. Ed plays the little intro riff on keyboard but it sounds okay on guitar, but when everyone comes in, Jonny plays the main repeated riff. Jonny plays little delayed riffs here
and there too.
INTRO RIFF - 4/4, 2/4:
Here is the little riff before it kicks in. It might
have a short delay on, that's why it was so damn hard
to tab..!
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 1 + 2 +
e -------------------------------------------------
B --1-3-3-3-----1-3-3---3---3-3-3-3-5-3-1-3---3-3--
G ---H-----------H-------------------P---H---------
D -------------------------------------------------
A -------------------------------------------------
E -------------------------------------------------
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 1 + 2 +
e ---------------------------------------------------
B --1-3-3-3-3-3-1-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-1-3-3-3---3-1-3--
G ---H-----------H-------------------H-----------H---
D ---------------------------------------------------
A ---------------------------------------------------
E ---------------------------------------------------
Then it all kicks in but this keyboard/guitar still continues
quietly throughout the verses, varying a little.
VERSE RIFF - 4/4, 2/4:
This is the main riff, playing triplets:
1 2 3 4 1 2
e --------------------------------------------------------
B --------------------------------------------------------
G --------0-----------------------------------------------
D -----3-----------0--------0-----------------0--------0--
A --5-----------3--------2--------2--------2--------3-----
E -----------5--------0--------------0--3--------1--------
Jonny does delayed scratching a lot and sometimes plays
little delayed licks on the 4th beat:
4 + 4 +
e ------- e -------
B ------- B --2-4-- - (discordant)
G --2-0-- G ---H---
D ---P--- D -------
A ------- A -------
E ------- E -------
CHORUS RIFF (major) - 4/4:
Still playing triplets:
1 2 3 4 1 2 (3) (4)
e --------------------------------------------------
B --------------------------------------------0-----
G --------0--------0--------0--------0--------0-----
D -----1--------0--------5--------2-----2-----2-----
A --3--------1--------6--------3-----------3--2-----
E --------------------------------------------0-----
CHORUS RIFF (minor) - 4/4:
Still playing triplets:
1 2 3 4 1 2 (3) (4)
e --------------------------------------------------
B --------------------------------------------0-----
G --------0--------0--------0--------0--------0-----
D -----1--------0--------5--------1-----1-----2-----
A --3--------1--------6--------3-----------3--2-----
E --------------------------------------------0-----
Jonny does more delayed licks on the final 4th beat
of the above riff:
CHORUS ONE:

Now if playing with a keyboard substitute the guitar chords for these chords
instead.

Cmaj7= Ebmaj7
Em/G= Gm/Eb
C= Eb
To show you how to play these chords on the keyboard i will break the keys
up into 3 sections.

i.e so A2 would mean hit the A key in section 2
Here's how the chords are played
Gm- (G1 + Bb1 + D2 + G2)
Ebmaj7- (Eb2 + G2 + Bb2 + D3)
Gm/Eb- (G2 + Bb2 + D3 + Bb3)
Eb- (Eb2 + G2 + Bb2 + G3)
That's about it. The song sounds really good when I play it on the acoustic
guitar, but I can only really play up until the end of the 2nd chorus and
then the song sort of ends, usually I just make something up that sounds
very good for an outro.
If playing on the guitar try doing this picking pattern for the 1st part of
the song and then come in with some funky strumming for the 2nd verse when
the "ice age comin" part kicks in.
